The challenge
The insurer's European book serviced from the UK after Brexit required a transfer mechanism, adequacy monitoring and documentation that the regulator examined ever more closely. Moving the work west would raise cost at a moment still not profitable.
What we did
We built a dedicated Warszawa team for policy administration, claims and renewals; because delivery sits inside the EEA, the transfer mechanism was removed entirely. The UK and EU books are separated.
Results
- Transfer mechanism and monitoring removed entirely
- Policy servicing cost 39 percent lower than the UK baseline
- Claims handling 27 percent faster
- The next regulatory review with no findings on outsourcing or data transfer
Why it worked
The overhead existed because of where the work sat; moving it inside the perimeter eliminated the category rather than reducing it.
